We started CapitalSavvy to provide investment and finance advisory services to Public sector, Development Partners, foreign and local investors, at a time when the market was short of investment professionals. The founders then decided to embark on a journey to enhance their education and learning with specific emphasis on finance and investments so as to offer world class advisory solutions. This decision would later shape our culture as a firm, where incessant learning is part of our core values. We have since added investment management to our suite of solutions with our flagship fund, the SME Growth Fund – a credit fund focused on offering innovative debt financing solutions to SMEs. CapitalSavvy is headquartered in Kampala, Uganda.
We target to become the leading investment management and advisory partner in East Africa.
We are an indigenous investment management and advisory firm focused on delivering unique insight and partnership for our clients.
With our deep understanding of Africa and the challenges we face as a continent, we are committed to being an enabler along the path of Africa being the next frontier of growth.
In 2020, we launched our investment management business with our flagship fund, the SME Growth Fund – a fund focused on offering innovative debt financing solutions to SMEs with short term trade finance needs. We continue to offer investment advisory services to foreign and local investors, Small and Medium Enterprises, Development Partners and Public sector.
Together with our investors, we are committed to accelerating growth of our economy through facilitating financing solutions to Small and Medium Enterprises.
Our first fund, The SME Growth Fund, is a credit fund aimed at providing innovative short-term debt financing solutions to SMEs such as; receivables financing, import tax financing, supplier top-ups and stock financing, payment of freight and taxes, contract/LPO financing, commodity financing and bid bond guarantee financing to mention but a few.
Our anchor investors are institutional investors, including foundations, pension funds, family offices and high net worth individuals.

Capitalsavvy has partnered with the BSV Blockchain Association to launch the Blockchain Innovation Program in East Africa.
The Blockchain Innovation Program is aimed at equipping young entrepreneurs with relevant web 3 developer skills. It is 10-week program, with a robust curriculum aimed at providing the relevant foundation required for developers to build scalable projects and enterprises on the BSV Blockchain, a proof of work Blockchain. The first cohort will have a total of 50 successful entrepreneurs, that will be carefully selected based on several surrogates including a demonstration of a strong understanding of web 2 developer skills, among others. We plan to have a minimum of three cohorts a year.
Incorporated in the program, is a hackathon at the end of the program, aimed at providing an opportunity for the best evaluated entrepreneur to represent the rest of the cohort at the Block Dojo, in London. This will provide an avenue for further learning, and linkages to potential seed/ venture capital partners for the entrepreneur. The rest of the entrepreneurs in the program will be exposed to several projects within the BSV Blockchain ecosystem where they will have an opportunity to be gainfully employed, thereby applying the acquired skills.
